Open Days at Llwyn Celyn are coming up on the 1st – 4th June
Come along to Llwyn Celyn to admire the award winning restoration of this ancient building. Teas will be served, and family friendly activities will be ongoing throughout the weekend. Meet our new artists in residence Ackroyd & Harvey. In addition:
5 ways Walking – a creative approach to mindful walking, led by artist Lisa Hellier.
You will explore the local area using mindfulness techniques to reconnect with the landscape. We will be making journey sticks whilst we walk and on returning to Llwyn Celyn we will share gathered thoughts, objects and impressions to create a collective artwork and haikus.
The walk is roughly 5 miles and includes a climb uphill. There will be plenty of stops en-route as we enjoy views of the Llanthony Valley and Cwmyoy Church. The walk is considered to be of moderate difficulty. Please wear sensible footwear and clothing and bring packed lunches and drinks. The mindful nature of the walk means that we would prefer it if dogs were not included on this occasion.
