Major organisational changes are planned for the Diocese of Monmouth during the year ahead. Ministry Areas are being established throughout the Monmouth Diocese and, here in north east Monmouthshire, the intention is for the benefices of Llanfihangel Crucorney, Llantilio Pertholey, Llandewi Rhydderch, Llantilio Crosenny and Grosmont to unite, creating a single Ministry area making us in effect a single parish with shared governance and finances. Fr Julian Gray will become the Team Leader (Rector) of the new Ministry Area.

Further information on the Ministry Area plans may be found on the Diocesan website: https://monmouth.churchinwales.org.uk

Local Chapels

The community is also served by several chapels, Zoar Baptist at Pandy, Tabernacle Baptist in Grwyne Fawr, Bettws Chapel, and the Chapel at Capel-y-ffin that gives the hamlet its name.  There is also St Mary’s Church at Capel-y-ffin, part of the Parish of Hay with Llanigon and Capel-y-ffin, and St Issui’s at Partrishow in the Parish of The Vale of Grwynne.  Each has its own interesting story and you can find more information using the links to the right.
